Apakah Anda rajin mengunjungi situs-situs popular semacam CNN, BBC, Amazon, Ebay, MSN, BBC, MSN.com, Atau situs-situs local seperti detik.com, kaksus, kompas, zodiac, goal. Emm.dengan adanya RSS feed kita di beri kemudahan untuk selalu meng up-date informasi dari situs popoler tersebut sesuai keinginan kita.

Dengan layana RSS feed maka kita setiap hari akan disediakan sebuah Koran pribadi yang menyajikan konten-konten yang hanya sesuai dengan apa yang kita butuhkan, (ex: info bola, kuliner, wisata, zodiac dll) tanpa harus membuka situs satu persatu.

Membuka terlalu banyak situs secra bersamaan sangatlah tidak efisien dan kadang malah nyasar kemana-kemana.

Teknologi yang dibangun dengan RSS mengijinkan kita untuk berlangganan kepada situs web yang menyediakan umpan (feed) RSS, biasanya situs web yang isinya selalu diganti secara reguler.

Namun Untuk memanfaatkan teknologi ini kita membutuhkan layanan pengumpul. Program pengumpul di web tidak memerlukan pemasangan dan pengaturan, kita dapat melihat dan mengecek RSS kita di mana saja, asal ada browser dan koneksi internet.

Umumnya RSS digunakan secara luas oleh komunitas weblog untuk menyebar ringkasan tulisan terbaru di jurnal, kadang-kadang juga menyertakan artikel lengkap dan bahkan gambar dan suara.

Sesuai maknanya, Feed atau Web Feed ini menunggu untuk dikumpulkan/ditarik atau diistilahkan dengan subscribe oleh pembaca umpan atau dikenal sebagai Aggregator atau RSS Reader atau Feed Reader

How To Create Feed URL With FeedBurner

FeedBurner is a web feed management provider. FeedBurner provides custom RSS feedsand management tools that will help to your blog reader to get regular updates of your blog posts via email or Google Reader. You might have seen the feedburner ‘chicklet’ and the news letter sign up on various blogs as shown below.

This post will help you to setup a Feedburner for your blog.

Follow the steps below :

1. Go to your FeedBurner account or Login.
2. Type your blog or feed address URL. If you are using WordPress then URL looks likehttp://example.com/feed – replace example.com with your domain name.
3. Click on the Next button.

1. Here you can change the Feed Title and Feed address as per your choice (its optional but is recommended as it acts as a brand name for your feed)
2. Click on the Next button to proceed further.

1. Your feed URL will now be successfully created. Click on Next for Step 2.

1. Select the Check boxes that you want and click on Next button.

You have now successfully setup the feed URL for your feedburner account.

Enable email Subscription, Feed Count,etc

1. Click on the Publicize tab then go to Email Subscription on left sidebar.
2. Click on the Activate Button.(See screenshot below)

1. Copy the code and paste it into your blog.  Click on the Save button.

In the same way you can activate FeedCount.

1. Click on FeedCount on the left sidebar.
2. Select the color scheme of your feed chicklet that you want to show on the blog.
3. Click on the Activate button and copy the code shown next to paste it into your blog.
